Transmissions shifter problem; should I be worried? 700 1992

My '92 745 turbo (142K) has just developed a new "issue:" There is an audible "click" when I step on the brake to shift out of "Park" that I have not noticed before, and the shift lever seems to have more back-and-forth "play" in it. It seems that both of these have started within the last month or so. Is this something to worry about? As always, thanks!

Hi, just replace your shift linkage bushings. Look on autohausaz.com and find them, they are $3 or something minimal, order them and once you recieve them go under your car with some pliers and maybe a small flathead screwdriver, it will be very apparent where those bushings should go. Good luck to ya!!
