Molded 444 heater control pieces 444-544

I finally got around to molding some more heater control pieces. I tried a few different resins, with the result that they turned out to be different colors:

black and two different shades of gray

This time I got the tabs molded onto the back

What do you think? Do you like the gray or black better?

None of them came out perfect, and I need to work on getting the white paint in all the letters evenly...

    Heh, you guys are funny.

Well, the biggest challenge is getting the bubbles out of the ends - where REAR and FRONT are. It came to my last night tho - just cut the mold bigger there, mold the part oversized and sand off the crappy parts.

    hmmmmmm

Glad you like Black better, caues the gray was the more difficult resin to work with.

I'll let you know when I have a few pieces perfected and you can have first dibs Tony. :)

Anyone else want one? get your order in

    Awesome work!
I like the black also, and since it is correct, there you go...
I was also thinking that the paint margins could be cleaned up by
lapping on wet-dry sandpaper starting at 600 or 800 grit
I see it all the way to 1500-2500 grit in the body shops.
And Meguairs plastic polish from there.
4 hrs x $25/hr for skilled labor there's your wash bottle.
    Great stuff.

    Belinda,

Awesome. I like the black better, but prefer black for all of my accessories since that is how my car was when original. I also think the white words stand out better on the black. Honestly, your gray looks a little light to me, but it might just be the lighting.

As you are most likely aware, you are probably the only source for these, so when you perfect them, get ready to perform some mass-production! :)
    Seriously, you know I'm interested.

    Great work!
