There was no driving the Volvo this week. 200 1981

Well, that's not totally true. I drove the wagon Monday & Tuesday, but after hearing the weather report, Wednesday I drove the '74 Wagoneer to work in preparation for the Great Holiday Blizzard of 2006. My 245 is great in snow, but not in 2 feet of snow. The Jeep, however, was not in the least intimidated by the stuff.

Yeah, had to use some more gas the rest of the week, but I do like that V-8 audio and was able to pull a few UPS trucks free from snow banks as I left work Wed. Fun times here in Colorado. As a UPS guy I can say "Bah, humbug!" then "Whew, glad that's over" then "Merry Christmas!"

Hehehe...
yea...
I havn't driven my Volvo since Monday. You can clearly see my 240 wagon on the right... next to my 1800s, and my Jaguar XK120. In the background by that shed...? That's my friends '70's Jeep Cherokee. It ain' tmoved yet either.

We're about 30 miles west of Fort Collins... got a solid 44"

*edit*... Wellington, eh? Toast one to you're work efforts at teh T-bar for me ;-)

Your wagon looks so...aerodynamic! 200 1981

Your 240 looks much sleeker than mine...kind of like the wind itself had sculpted the body lines.

I was just at the T-Bar Saturday night for dinner. High-class joint, the T-Bar.

40 miles W of FC, would that be up Poudre Canyon? I used to deliver that. Of course, as the crow flies 40 miles might be on the other side of the Divide.

HTe norhtern half of Missouri has yet to see any decent snow, but I am excited to see the little tank does! I keeping picturing my car being the only one able to go down the road while everyone is sitting there stuck on the side. But with the way i drive sometimes, i may be the one stuck! Have a merry christmas!!

Volvo wagons are great in the snow because they are heavier in the rear than sedans. The weight distribution is 50/50, I believe. You won't be disappointed until your bumper starts pushing snow.
