RESET ECU 900

Hi guys, I was hoping you would be able to help a girl with a volvo.
I have a recurring code and check engine light on my 1995 960 sedan. Although I have repaired the problem and cleared the ECU by putting the lead in socket 1 of panel A and holding for 8 seconds, the check engine light and code remains. I even disconnected the negative battery terminal, to no avail. How can I wipe the ecu messages? Let me know guys!

Hello, Most times the code needs to be displayed 2 times before the code can be cleared. So go through the code twice and then clear. Socket two is the engine controls ecu, so try that. Check for codes, but if the faulty part is still causing the code, you won't be able to reset code untill faulty part is replaced. Have a great New Year, Pauli

Also, after reading the first code the second time, push the button and hold for 5 sec. and release. The led should light up and be steady. Then push button again and hold for 5 sec. again. Light should go out. To test, then run test again and you should get 1-1-1.
