    If the NGK plug wires have the traditional crimped connector on the end then they probably won't work well. The Volve distributor holes have a contact post in the bottom that fits into a hole in the end of the "bouricord" (sp??) type wires. From my limited experience with crimped wires they don't make contact with the post even when jammed in all the way. This creats an extra gap for the spark voltage to jump and weakens the spark. My '88 seemed to run fine if I was easy on the gas, would go all the way up to 4k rpm no trouble, but as soon as I woke up the turbo it would miss terribly. Bouricord's fixing the problem immediately.
