Need manual antenna 200 1984

Hello,

I have this really nice 1984 244DL that is already in great condition but trying to bring back to "new" condition little by little :)

The antenna is broken and I am trying to find a replacement that won't empty the bank account.

It is the old fashion, black one that is on the driver's side A pillar, with that coil-like housing around it. It is broken near the roof right outside of the end of that coil housing.

It is working, mind you, but I'd still like to fix it, and I'm going to install a better radio soon.

I'm scheduled to go to the junkyards Saturday in search of this and other parts (seat foam, perhaps armrests and door panels to install power windows in the future, misc stuff) but I'd be surprised if I find any Volvo, especially with interesting stuff still on.

I couldn't find one online. Does anyone here know of a good source or even selling one?

Thanks.

If you don't find one, I have one I'll send you for the price of shipping. It's just the outside part, not the fitting or whatever that's under the screw-on bottom end (under the suction cup looking boot).

Anyway it's off some 80's wagon and its in good shape. Doesn't fit anything I have presently, or at least I don't need an extra for my 84 242.

Let me know if you can't find one and if so email me your address so I can figure out what it will cost to mail it. Email to myvwsgotme@snet.net.

Are you sure the one on the car is stock?

I don't remember any 200 having a spring close to the trunk lid.

Anyway, I went to a Auto Parts store and got one for cheap. Under $20.

I used the original Bezel that conforms to the radii of the trunk. I had to drill the hole out bigger but now it looks Stock

No no, nothing to do with the trunk lid. My antenna is the oiginal one at the front on the driver's side.
