need a speedo cable 200 1983

ack! the back of the black clip that holds the cable to the back of the speedo broke, and now i'm getting jipped out of miles. anyone have an extra?

    Just for more confirmation, I've got two 83's with the broken lock ring. They've stayed in place for years without the ring. jp

    Mine broke too, I was able to put the cable into the speedo and it stayed put until the next time I removed the cluster. Dan

      lol, that's what happened to me, too - it broke years ago and stayed until i removed the cluster yesterday, now i can't get it to stay in for the life of me!

        need a speedo cable 200 1983

        You may have to move the car just a little so it will "key" into the speedo. Once it is in there it does not seem to go out. I drove mine for years this way also. Dan
