Flame Trap 700

Hi,

Dumb question but where can I locate the flame trap on my 740 engine. I was thinking it was near my PCV valve but I'm not sure.

Thanks!

Here's an image I took when I was putting an engine into my baby.

It's the black box sitting on the side of the block. In the picture, just to the left of the where oil level tube meets the block.

You can see where the heater hose would go into the block to the right of the pcv hose coming up. I'm reminded of how close they are whenever I replace either of the hoses.

It's under the rear intake plenum/duct of the intake manifold.

You have to wedge your arm in there to get at it.

I think there are 2 10mm bolts holding it down and a semi hard vacuum tube coming out of the top of it.

You may have to clear some room in there to get it at.

It is basically located in between the rear of the IAC Valve and the underneath of the intake manifold towards the firewall.
