Hello again guys. I just recently bought the small 52mm tach for one of the accessory voids in the dash. A few minutes ago, I pulled the radio and the two squares to the right of it. Here's what I found:

1) White Red striped w/ connector - Almost sure that this is the tach
2) Solid Brown w/ connector - Is this an illumination wire? If so, should it be going somewhere? :)
3) Solid Yellow w/ connector - I traced the other end to the headlight knob.
4) Solid red w/ connector coming out of the radio harness (car side).

Should any of these wires already be hooked to something that the previous owner screwed with? (There are screws missing that hold the center console, radio and instrument panel which leads me to believe that someone has already been messing around inside the dash.)

If not, can any of these be used for the small tach connection?

That is the color of the dimmed lighting distribution. Anything not lighting?

tells motorized antenna to extend.

Got the tach in and it is working great!

** It had been spliced off of, so I used it for the tach light.

Still have no clue what to use this one for. Anybody have any ideas?

I'll take a guess.

Certain radios illuminated with the headlights, and were not affected by the dimmer. Maybe?

That was gonna be my guess too. A good clue would be the feel of the insulation and wire itself. Does it look like 80's harness wiring or 90's Asian sound system install kit wiring.
