Couple of tips 200 1991

If you buy the pressure bleeder that uses your spare tire for an air source, it comes with TWO round gaskets for the cap that fits your reservoir. This is because the cap is deeper than the threaded neck on your reservoir. Use BOTH gaskets or the cap will leak and pump brake fluid all over your car and the floor. (sob)

Be very careful not to let the reservoir run dry. If you get air into the lines that go to the rear brakes, it is almost impossible to get it out.

I do brake fluid and coolant every two years .... which reminds me.......

Happy bricking.

First build/get yourself a pressure bleeder 200 1991

I think the cover off one of the larger vitamin bottles might fit the MC reservoir. Install a tire valve in it.

I had spare tire pumps (cheap) from which I pulled the clamp on heads. Attached to both ends of a length of tubing (6' of low pressure is fine). Used a spare tire pressurized to max of about 15psi to be the motive force.

Pressure bleeding makes things a lot easier.

Here a post about that

I also made a home style pressure bleeder by putting a tire valve in a junk yard brake fluid container cap .Put the that cap on container and pressurize it. I pressurized it with a bycycle pump . How much pressure -Just by guess when I could not pump enough with my arm . This also causes brake fluid to come out when u loosen the bleeder screw.

A word of caution . On one side I removed the brake pads and applied brake pedal . The pistons came out and never went it. Had to replace it . So do not remove pads before applying pressue . ( I had removed the pads just to clean them . U know extra work when u are there sort of stuff)

brake fluid used : I think volvoline synthetic at advance auto exceeds dot 4
