Hi all you brickboarders. I am looking at a 940 Turbo 1995 model for my girlfriends sister, and I would like some input. It is a one owner car with 240k kms with log books and service history. It has the moonroof, grey leather, tow hitch, two sets of wheels (winter/summer) dual airbags, power drivers seat, exterior temp gauge etc.
The thing is, I have a 1992 940 turbo and it drives better. My car has less kms and was owned by the "old lady" and is an awesome car.
I saw this other car yesterday, and drove it. It crashes over bumps, the engine "pings" under load, the drivers floor is worn, the bonnet doesn't open right (it jams against the rear near the windscreen and the paint is a bit average. There is a funny noise behind the dash, a tick or something.
The thing is for the price, I can't find any car that is better. A Carolla has nothing on these cars.
Funny there is no "Turbo" badge on the trunk, and no boost gauge in the dash. Is the 1995 model a low pressure turbo? Mine definitely goes better. What benefits/disadvantages does the 1995 model have over the 1992?
Your help is gladly appreciated.
