Hi. I have been to other events at Carlisle and have always found plenty of opportunities to open my wallet. However I've never been to the import show in May. I am in need of parts for my 544 and my father is wanting a PV of his own. Should we be able to find what we seek in May? The internet can be a great tool but it's still nice to see and touch it before you buy. How do the prices compare to other sources? Thanks and see you in May!

    Hello All:
    I have been told that Volvo is the featured marque at this year's Import Festival at Carlisle, so I will be driving my Duett down, hopefully loaded with various Volvo parts that ought to go into somebody elses garage. I will be sharing the booth with the Western NY MG Car Club and will post the booth location in the window of my Duett on the car show field.

    Joe Lazenby always has a few cars for sale, he brings some out, and has several more in his nearby warehouses. I'll be going thru my shed/garage attic and pulling together all the worthwhile stuff to sell, as long as I'm not likely to need it. :) (my vendor spaces will be J-88 thru 90) Stop by and say hi. I see you're from NC... You wouldn't know a Brooks Townes would you? He mentioned several ppl from his NC group were bringing 544's to Carlisle. Was wondering if you might be one of them?

      Hi Nick. No, my 544 will not be ready to make the trip but I will be there in my 240 wagon. I do know two people in the Charlotte area who will be there in thier 544's. I don't know Brooks Townes. I know of Joe by his ads in Hemmings but have never spoke with him. I'll stop by your stop in Carlisle. Bob

        That's odd. Maybe they don't have info for every vehicle. try this link:

        Copy the whole link. this should take you to the page that asks what year vehicle you have. I looked up my '88 240GL and it was all there. I just tried it without logging in and I still had access to the free data.

          They stop Volvo information in 1989 but note "come back later for more models."
