somewhat silly opinion question 200

Okay, I've got a line on a 95 940 turbo wgn. This car has 119000 and is in real good cond. This is what I have been looking for, I think. I have only owned 245's. The problem is the color, that dark blue green that I don't really like. No offense to owners of that color out there. Oh, and a real good price to boot. Should I buy?

I have had old 240s newer 240s and a 740 and 940s, well and I've added an 850 as well.
The 940 is a nice ride and a nice upgrade from the 240. As others have said its the last of a truly nice power plant. Easy to work on and reliable, with all the creature comforts of the newer rides out there.
Find a nice one and grab it. I still see them once in awhile.
Go through the 700/900 FAQs. There's a good section in there about what to look for before you purchase, helps alot when you're looking.
    Good Luck.

I've got both 240's and 700's. The 900 is essentially the same. Love em. All of em. They both work nicely.

The 7/9 is one of the most comfortable cars you'll ever drive. For long trips, they're the car of choice, by far.

As for that color, I'm not a huge fan of it either. It is common, however, and should you need a matching fender or door, it should be able to be found in that color.

My 90 stick 740 wagon is that blue/green, and came with the ugly (my opinion, which is correct!) tan leather. As it turns out, I found a 90 745T for parts, and it's the same color. And it was built with a black interior. So I'm in the process now of swapping everything over to black. It may be warmer in summer, but it'll be so much nicer.

I may be mistaken, but it seems the tan leather fails by the leather itself disintegrating. The black leather seems tougher and pulls apart at the seams, which is fixable. The new black interior will be re-stitched and a fine upgrade from the tan... then the tan will all be for sale.

Go get it, you'll love it!

I have some hooch from the mountains that made me color blind for a few days if that would help.

This is a problem, a real dilemma. I have a teal 1991 940T and I kind of like it. I prefer silver or gray personally and have those (and other colors). A 1995 945T with 119k and a good price? How can you pass that up? Buy it and I’ll send you some of that moonshine.

I wouldn't buy a car in a color I didn't like. But I make a living as a graphic designer, so the looks of things are really important to me. I overpaid about $1000 for my brick to get it in black w/ virgos.

I heard that black isn't a color. So what colour did you pay extra for? Shape is more important than color I think. Brunette, blonde, redhead, all look great if the shape is good, don't you agree?

Sounds good, if you have a friend who is a mechanic you should have them look it over really good. If not then plenty of people on here can tell you what to look out for, when it comes to me and paint I could care less as long as it runs really well and never strands me, after all what good is a really nice paint job if the car is dead in the drive way :).

    hello
95 945 is hard to find where i live, especially in good cond.
i setteled on a 95 944 in great cond. i really like it and have had mostly 240s.
one cant really compare the two in ride and comfort, but in terms of old skool the 240 is one of a kind for me.
    i have one of each.
    good luck
    mike

not many for sale in this area either. Wonder how many 945T were sold during there production. I don't really see that many on the road. I will keep my 92 245 and sell the 89. Thanks
