Question about fender bolts 120-130

Hello,

I believe the thread style is called Acme.

544 use a similiar bolt but they are larger in diameter.

Question about fender bolts 120-130

I went to the small hardware store (True Value, not home depot) and got what are called "carriage bolts" in stainless and matching stainless washers.
The tip is pointy instead of blunt but darned if they aren't just perfect.
Best,
Shayne.

Lag Bolts 120-130

Shayne, the bolts you are describing are called "Lag Bolts" Carriage Bolts are the type with the smooth convex head and the squarish bit under the head. I picked up a set of lag bolts (as you described) for use in a couple spots where I'm missing my original bolts. They look pretty nice and work well.

I've procured nearly all of my Amazon's new hardware in stainless Hillman Fasteners from my local True Value and "DoIt" stores. I've bought so many bolts and washers from one place in particular, I'm considering asking them for a window sticker for my Amazon.

7/16" head, of course.

How many do you need? I have a few around (not stainless but not rusty
either).
They are special bolts to fit into the spring steel insert that snaps into
the rectangular rail. Sort of like an ACME thread but very coarse.

I have used galvanized lag bolts and gotten by in the past.
