1989 power steering rack 200

Hi. this is my first time here on the 240 side. I am usually on the 140 side of bricks.
I am writing for a friend who has a power steering rack in need of a part. There are metal fluid lines that runs from one side to the other, (part 30 and 31 on his diagram) that are all rusted out and leaking. They have ends that have a ridge/shoulder in them which holds a small o-ring or washer and then asmall extension on the tube which mates into the steering rack. When the nut fitting is tightened the male end goes into the rack female "port" and the washer or o-ring seals it.
Any idea what the Volvo part # is?
The Volvo dealer wants to give him a tube with an iverted or crowned type of flared end. We both think this will leak as it doesn't seem to mate up with what the rack itself has.
Sure wish I had a picture to show it.
Any ideas or similar experiences?
Thank you,
CU

Can you go to a junkyard, extract the part from another 240 and then bring that to a parts store or dealer to get the right part?
Just an idea.
Maybe I'm spoiled by having a junkyard with a few 240s in it nearby.
