No injector pulse/745t 700 1990

Sold this car about 3 months ago with no problems over that period, owner had starting probs last week in wet conditions and now no start. It's now at a repair shop down the street and the tech says there is no injector pulse, has fuel and spark. Any suggestions off the top of your collective heads would be appreciated. I'm bring him a spare set of injector ballast resistors to see if that will fix it...... TIA Tom27940aholic.......

Update,Now running:No injector pulse/745t 700 1990

Tech felt he narrowed prob down to the ECU, I got one at the JY today from a 91T and put it in the 90. Battery was dead, hooked my jump box up, turned the key and the car fired right up. Got the ECU for $50.00 which I thought was a good deal. I was really happy to get the car running again for the people I sold it to. Tom 27940aholic...

No injector pulse/745t 700 1990

Should have 12 volts on one of the injector plug pins w/ the ignition turned on. Other pin reads zero. If no reading replace/repair the relay and also check the relay connector plug pins. They have been known the get pushed in and not make contact.

Ballast resistors did not do it, tech unplgd/replgd computer to no avail. He is cleaning all grounds he can locate. Still no start, has spark and fuel, no injector pulse, any ideas??? TIA Tom 27940aholic

The ECU gives the the injectors a ground.

Do you have power to the injs.?

RSR (injector relay)*

Fuel injection relay*

No injector pulse/745t 700 1990

I vote for the RSR. I believe you will find it on the shock tower. Identical to the fan relay they can be swapped to check. Either both on the passenger's or one on the passenger's tower and one on the driver's tower. Case is about 1" square and 2" long. Open it up and resolder the relay and reseal the closure with silicone that you removed to open it. Good luck.
