I see many brake rotors advertised on eBay. Drilled and plain, etc. What would I buy for a standard car? I'm trying to save money by purchasing parts and giving to my mechanic. Brakes have a scraping sound. Not using car until fixed.

I would go for OE Volvo rotors. No need for all the wannabe racer drilling, etc. in normal everyday use, IMO.

You can get genuine OE rotors for $42 from Tasca Volvo in Seekonk, MA. I just put a pair on my 940. They are beautifully finished and packed, and still "Made in Sweden".

Thank you. I figured no need for drilled. I need to get it in shop to be checked to see brake conditions and go from there. Scraping noise is likely not good.
