Hello all. I'm in need of a 6V flasher/blinker relay (aka "automatic impulse unit") for my 1958 444. I believe this is part number 88313. Any ideas where to find one? I saw an auction for a Bosch Porsche 356 relay (picture below) and although it looks the same I'm not sure and don't care to spend $55 to find out!

Hello Tony,

What I have looks ALMOST identical to what you have pictured including the mounting bracket and is rated at 14 amps.

There are 3 differences that I can readily see.

1. My relay is a different color, sort of a goldish brown.

2. My relay does not come with the little clamps, but does come with 3 screws.

3. My relay was made in the USA by Ideal.

Hi Tony:
Unless you just must have a bosch part, get a modern 3 prong solid state unit from any parts store, they will work reasonably well on nearly any voltage from under 6 to over 24. I am using an extra one I bought for my 122 (12V) in my 444 running about 6-7V and it seems to work ok. Can't speak for durability but otherwise ok. The generic ones look nearly the same as the original too.
