California Coast Tour next spring? 444-544

How many people might be interested in getting together for a drive up the California coastline next spring?

I'm thinking that we could start in the San Diego area and make a 4 or 5 day trip out of it. In that amount of time we could get to San Francisco with plenty of time out to do the tourist thing along the route.

I understand that not everyone would do the whole route...some might have to turn back early, and others might just want to join up as we pass near their area.

I'd dearly love to see a bunch of classic Volvo's gliding up the Pacific Coast Highway!

I don't know of all the interesting things to stop and see along the way, but I do know that the Peterson Museum is fantastic (a Bugatti Royale and others, including lots of custom cars and hot rods) and is worth at least a couple of hours.

We might get to stop and visit Jay Leno's garage - pending some further communication.

If you can suggest any more places (Hearst Castle, Monterey Aquarium, etc.) please add them to this post.

Hey Steve,

Sounds like fun. I don't know if my car could travel those distances, but I was planning a little road trip excursion myself, around the date of the Prescott AZ rally. So if you decide to venture this way, let me know:

Oct 5 & 6th
