How do you repair a wheel stud on 93 940??? 900 1993

Well, subject says it all. I have one stud on each side that was destroyed by the previous owner or at a dumb tire shop. Are they available and replaceable?
Thanks.
Chuck Jaxel.

Is this an ABS wheel? 900 1993

On an ABS wheel, I have a half a stud still some what function with a nut on it that looks like it was twisted off and was looking for as easy fix. (When I first got the car I had to use a 4 foot pipe on a breaker bar to remove the lug nuts and it wasn’t a rust issue.)

    From the FAQ, http://brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/WheelsTires.htm#WheelStudRepair

"If you have an abs sensor wheel (looks like a gear with flat cogs) on the front hub you will have to grind one side of the new stud's flange to get it in. You'll have to use a grinding wheel. This wheel is stamped steel and you would destroy it if you try to remove".

I am not sure but putting 2 and 2 together, the studs are too long and will hit the stamped wheel for the sensor if you try to use an un-modified stud on an ABS wheel. If you have to grind off part of the head to put a new stud in, you have to shorten the old stud by cutting off a half inch or so to remove it.

Replaceable? Yep, you can get them at your auto parts store, they're not expensive.

To remove the old one, simply drive it out with a hammer.
Try not to flare the end, or it won't pass thru the hole.

To install the new one, slide it into the hole and use the lug nut to pull it into position.
Use a stack of flat washers under the lug nut to take up space as you tighten the lug nut and pull the new bolt into position.

    Hope this helps
    steve

Hillbilly pretty much covered it but just so you know, you will need to pull the caliper, pull the rotor, and now you can access the stud. Remove and replace it just as he said and make sure you put a little grease on the splines on the new stud before you pull it in with the lug nut. Use a little bit of the same grease on the other studs when you put the lug nuts back on and you will find that the studs and nuts will last alot longer.
