alignment question; left out of other post 700

The 91 740 wagon I got from a friend has alignment problem. She had two new sets of tires and had it aligned at least twice in 3 years, and there is still extreme tire wear on the outside of the right tire, and some but not as bad on the left front. Right is down to/through the cord on the outside edge, with a lot of tread on the tire. Tire is evenly worn in circumference, thus it's not related to balance I think. The car goes straight, just a tiny drift to the right on the highway.
There is no camber or caster adjustment on this car, only toe. The faq mentions getting a different length track arm, the diagonal one if I understand this correctly, to correct caster only I think.
To the eye, the right wheel appears to be set at a different angle, that is it appears to be out at the top, more so than the left side. This is slight but two people have noticed it.
There are no signs of damage to any components above or below. Anyone dealt with something similar?
Thanks

Actually, per Volvo there is a camber adjustment. Did this on my 85 model.

Did mine in my driveway. You need a level place to park. A level and framing square. Place the square on the driveway and the other end against the tire. Measure the space between the lower part of the rim and square, do the same for the top. That will show if the tire is leaning in or out. After the adjustment I verified the alignment at the shop.

I'd guess the right strut mount is backwards; the top of the strut should be towards the rear of the opening in the strut tower(at the top, under the hood).

The struts are in right, I had it on a laser alignment table and it was just within spec. I had the toe changed to the other end of spec.
They think the problem was that the former owner lived on a hill, which she did, a short but very steep one, and taking sharp turns down the hill scrubbed off the outside edge of that tire.
