Amazon in the movies 120-130

Add another amazon sighting in the movies- there are two (!) in "Zodiac." One a light yellow two door that shows up in a street scene (going by in one direction, then a minute later going by again in the other), and a character in the movie drives up in another one (dark blue I think- it's a night scene). Alas, the move isn't really worth watching (the amazon spotting was the high point for me).

If you watch closely, there is also a few shots of a blue PV544 in background traffic during the movie.

Hello honeychrome:

I have not seen it yet, but I was actually in a movie that shot two years ago called "The Now" and when I showed up on set with Virginia they decided to use her as one of the characters' car. She was mostly used for establishing shots, such as parked outside to indicate the character was at home, etc. but she plays prominently in the final scene, and her driving off is the final shot in the film.

The film is just getting out of post-production now and it does not have a big studio distribution deal so it is mostly festival submissions for now. I have not seen it yet so no idea if the film is any good or not but I thought the script was great.

And apparently, Virginia got a screen credit.

Cheers,

Jeff Pucillo

i liked it, i saw it in the theater when it first came out. it's a bit long but i think if you cut out anything you'll loose some of the story. plus drunk all the time Downey jr. in an amazon was great. i think he always had a drink in hand 90% of the time, or was wasted. perfect role for him. i always enjoy good period movies, lots of nice cars and furniture etc to check out.

The Internet Movie Cars Database is a brilliant resource for these sightings. It only shows one for Zodiac, so you have the upper hand.

It gives screenshots of Volvos in tons of movies. But you'd better go to a review site to see if the actual movie is worth watching, (apart from the Volvo shots of course!).

Tom

There was a old movie with John Candy playing a rent a cop and eh crashes into a 122s with a semi and only causes minor damage compared to the other cars he hits.
