    Hi Ragu,

You should stuffy the Volvo 700 / 900 FAQ hosted here at your brickboard.com.

What seafoam material would you put into a transmission?

How many miles/ What are the symptoms, please?

The FAQ articles you want to read (Click FAQ above into a new browser tab or window, yet get the Haynes manual also):

    Transmission:Automatic AW 70 and ZF:
    https://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/TransmissionAuto.htm

Spook and folks have owned automatic 700s and 900s and are far better suited to help you!

Please do not despair if you can replace the AW 70 yourself or enlist a trusted repair service!

In another contemporaneous post is a transmission rebuilder service. Transtar Replacement AW71 for $110 +ship and freight. Probably give you a discount for a core return so they can rebuild your AW7x for someone else ... yet wait to get more import from the forum members. https://www.transtar1.com/

There may be other industrial auto gearbox rebuilders. Shop around for the gearbox and the service. No wooden nickels!

I've only ever used a gear since my first Volvo 240 in August 1984. I've owned seven total and own three 240s currently (in various states of deterioration).

    Questions? Hope that halps.
