power steering grind 900 1997

I recently drained my power steering rack ('97 960) per alldata instructions. Then filled with Mobil 1 synthetic atf and worked the rack. Had lots of air but finally worked it out. I noticed it's harder to turn when turning to left, still get some shuddering, and now I notice a grinding noise that appears to be coming from my steering wheel shroud/plastic pieces before instrument cluster. Any ideas on what I could try next. Thanks 97 960 127K 2nd owner

The fluid change has to be unrelated to the steering column mechanical noise. Is something going on that prompted the change, btw? Worn pump or rack?

Found out what was causing it...After draining the rack and then tightening the pressure pipe(it's the one that has coiled section coming off the rack) it turned as I torqued it and the coil section was rubbing on the collar of the steering shaft and causing that metal grinding sound. Anyway I have new steering feel now and I'm ready for another 127K

No just some maintenance items to cross off my list. I did notice my reservoir has a magnet in it already....looks to be built in - cool. I didn't notice any grinding prior to the fluid flush. Could it need another flush?
