Rear Spring Options? 700 1988

I am thinking about pressing the 88 765 into service for the cross country trip since it is a much better road car than either the 245 or the 944. I do need to replace the rear springs but am having difficulty finding a listing on anyone's parts site for the wagon, although a multitude are available for the sedan. Is there a difference in the spring rate between the body styles?

Thanks,

    Absolutely.

I decided to purchase a set of overload coils locally for my wagon.
Put them on a day before leaving for vacation.
The car still sat at about the right height when unloaded.
But after putting our gear in at 11:00 pm and setting out, it was clear that the springs were wrong.
Bounced off the cushions for 1500 miles. After we got back, I put the original factory springs back on and returned the overload coils. The dummy at the place where I bought them told me he couldn't find springs for the wagon that first time so he gave me sedan springs. Then said "duh, I figured they were probably the same even though they had different numbers." What a jerk.

Next day I ordered IPD overload coils. They are great. A little stiffer unloaded than stock but not what I consider harsh. When loaded, it is very smooth.

      Thanks Tom,

I'll get over to IPD right now!
