A ways back I had free flow system installed on my 122 that included what was called a 'turbo' performance muffler. It has a great rumble and is kinda cool poking around town. On the other hand, on longer trips the rumble turns into quite a drone that gets old fast. I'm thinking of a little more restrictive muffler so it's more enjoyable on the road. What has worked for you? Has anyone used a Flowmaster? Thanks, Macmuffler

Same as the rest. Put a resonator in there (wherever it fits) that will help. Otherewise another muffler but that is more restrictive.

If you're just running with one muffler under the car, just adding a small one on the end where the original system had the small "pot" should solve your problem with no performance loss. Plenty of good ones with chrome tips available if that's what you prefer.

I've got 2 stainless steel magnaflows on my 122. The front muffler is a large oval mounted in approximately the stock location and I placed a small 4" round muffler after the rear axle - sounds great, no problem on the highway, plenty of flow (all 2.25" stainless pipe).
