    FUEL PUMP... 140-160 1974

    Hello,

I have been able to obtain rebuilt Bosch fuel pumps for around $100.00.

These are NOT rebuilt by Bosch, but are Bosch pumps with a 1 year warranty, the same as a new pump and it will bolt right in.

You must reuse your old fuel pump check valve with the rebuilt units.

I also have in stock, brand new Bosch pumps which comes with a new check valve, but I want alot for one of those.

I also have new fuel pump mounts in stock as well.

    FUEL PUMP... 140-160 1974

Hello--on my 1974 145 I am running an MSD universal fuel pump, MSD-2225, purchased for about $95 online from Summit Racing. You will have to drill a new hole in the mounting bracket from the original pump, and you may want to consider adding rubber isolators between the mounting clamps and the bracket. I didn't and I wish I had, as it is now even louder than the original pump. Works great though. best--Nathan

It looks a lot like the d-jet pump, and as George says the D-jet pump will work.

    But they are expensive.

I hear much talk that a LH or CIS pump from a 240 or even a Walbro are effective alternatives, the walbro being the cheapest and still quite durable. I have no specs on it, though.

I expect it's the same as a early 240 (up to about 'mid '82).. pumps from later cars would likely work as well... not sure.
