Where to buy fuses. 200 1989

Hey All,

So where do people get there 240 fuses? I'm in Toronto and I don't see them at Canadian Tire, gas stations, hardware stores, etc.. I guess it must be possible to order them, but if there were somewhere local, that would be better. Almost tempting to build a new fuse panel for those fuses that I see everywhere here; the ones that you push in and has clear plastic over it.

Thanks!

Yaleh.

Hi,

Here in Montreal Canadian Tire sells them. I think Walmart as well. Of course all these are plastic, not ceramic like the OEM.

Thanks for all the interesting posts.

After I sent the message, I was curious about ordering fuses (even though I think that they should be more readily available :\

Here's something I found. Spend 10 bucks and you're set for life:

Rather than the ceramic fuses try to locate glass tube fuses with the tapered ends. Fewer problems with corrosion.

Nope. Buss Fuses used to make the steel-and-glass GBC fuses, but they quit a few years back. One day my stash will pay for my retirement :)

I found them at the Kragen and Carquest chains in California.

Any good parts store should have them---real parts store that is, not a discount chain. Try to find one that has been in business in the same location for at least 10 years. All European cars used ceramic fuses until the mid 80s or so---They used to be everywhere, a store that's been around a while should have a supply left over from back when they were in more common use. The late 240s were some of the last cars to have them.
