1215201 Neutral Safety Switch

Bricks, I'm looking for a 1215201 Neutral Safety Switch. All the sites I go to want to know what year/model Volvo it comes from. I'm doing the BW35 to AW70
swap in my 72 1800E, so I don't know the year/model (the Volvo dealers can't tell me either).
Help!!!

That is a tough one, I see no reference to that part number in any of the data bases that I have. As far as I know there really are two styles of PNP switches available, one for the BW-35 which screws into the trans itself and is pretty much unavailable last time I checked and the style that all of the BW/AW-55 and later trannies use. If you are running an AW trans I would think that you would run the later AW PNP switch which does necesitate the later shifter bucket. Do you happen to know just which style of PNP switch this 1215201 is supposed to be?

The 1215201 goes on the RH side of the trans on the shift selector shaft. It fits into the part of the shaft that is sticking out & has a screw hole that goes into the trans case to keep the switch from spinning on the selector shaft.
See http://www.v1800reg.org/pages/AW70%20CONV.PDF written by Mike Iles. Thats the switch he used.

Sounds like it fits pretty much like the AW30-40 trans GPS like in the 960. I looked at that page but could only get the cached page to open up and there were no pictures, don't know if there were any to start with. I have an older set of regular micro fische at the shop and will take a look at it tomorrow. His stuff looks like it was dated in '99 and if I recall my 240 fische is probably from right around 98-99 so it may have some reference to it.
