MegaSquirt conversion? 200 1975

I'm just starting to investigate what would be involved in changing my '75 242 from K-jet to MS. Anyone done this and have info they would like to share?

I'm guessing the quickest way to change the intake would be to use a different intake manifold, complete with injectors and fuel rail, from a later model?

Use D-jet injectors and fuel rail/regulator from a 140e or 1800e. You will need to make up a custom wire harness and figure out a way to install the necessary sensors and switches.

Most 1975s have a B20 CIS (K-jet) engine. FI components from earlier B20
engines WILL fit. Components from later B1/B23 engines won't even come close.
Megasquirt has most in common with D-jet but you could probably use the K-jet
B20 manifold. I have both (D-jet and K-jet manifolds) in case you have trouble
    finding one.

Since you have the B20 engine which (for 240s) is unique to the '75 model year you probably should also ask over on the 1800, 140 and 120 fourms. Those cars share the engine and lots of folks have gone MS to replace carbs, D-jet and K-Jet injections systems. A 240T conversion would be similar as they share the K-jet system used on the early 240s.

www.turbobricks.com would be a better source of information for that. A LOT of people there have done the Megasquirt thing.

I have found some info but nothing on converting a K-jet system. I'll search on Tbricks.

      Thanks

Anyone who has converted a 240 turbo to MS has done it to a K-Jet car. I've done it. It's not a simple thing but it's not impossible either. If you've got a B20, you'll need a set of B20E injectors and hold-downs as well as all the B20E fuel stuff...rail, FPR, lines...stuff like that. Again, it's not impossible on a K-Jet B20, it's not as simple as the B21/23 engines with a bolt-on intake/rail/injector set-up...
