1973 142 bushings and suspension 140-160

Hello all..

I am just starting my complete suspension rebuild on my 73 142. First off I would like to go with poly bushings all around. It looks like ipd is out of stock,
although I have not yet called them to see for sure. I see vpd has what looks like
a complete set, but have not had the chance to call them yet either. Is there a better source for bushings out there, or should I stick with vpd maybe?
Second, I was told that there may be an adjustable suspension setup available
trough some swedish company. Not sure if that's true. I was thinking of something like making some adjustable lower spring perches to somehow attatch to the lower control arms for a semi-coilover setup if you know what i mean. Or if not, I was thinking I could make some simple spacer brackets to mount under the lower control arms, to then have the lower shock mounting pushed about an inch down for a little
more travel on a lowered car. hope that makes sense.
On a last note, I'm pressing the bushings out of the control arms now and I'm not quite sure how the upper control arm mounting rod bushings get pressed out with the rod in there. Unfortunately I don't have a factory repair manual. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for rambling....

SuperPro Australia (actually the parent company Fulcrum Suspensions) decided to change North American distributors. Due to an unforeseen delay in the changeover, those of us who sell bushings have not been able to get them for a couple of months. I understand the new distributor received a new shipment Dec 21 but, of course, we have not been able to access that stock yet. Unless VPD had a good level of stock, I suspect they won't have any either. What none of us knows yet is exactly what came with this shipment...

Thanks for the info. I did get to call IPD and they only have the front upper control arm bushings in poly and then they do have the rest in rubber though. I will call Vpd soon and see if they have any stock left. If anyone has any other possible sources, let me know.
I'm still pondering the idea of at least a front coil-over setup and maybe some adjustable spring perches in the rear. I have not found much info on anything
other than stock suspension on the 140's. I know these cars were great rally cars back in the day as well as great vintage racers. There must have been some better suspension modifications aside from bilstiens and springs(although I'm not knocking that combo..)for more serious control and handling. Any input or ideas appreciated.thanks..

Bilstiens will work with a lowered car.
Skandix has lowering springs for 140's.
The upper control arm rod is driven out after a special spacer tool
is put between the bushings to keep the wishbone form being bent in.
Other presses push the bushings out.
