No Reverse lights 200 1991

I just picked up a '91 240 sedan and the reverse lights don't work. I checked bulbs, fuses, and under the shift console.Where is the switch if any(auto trans)?
Thanks,Philvo

The reverse/neutral switch is down in the shifter bucket on the passenger side of the bucket, it looks like a wedge if pizza made out of black plastic. There is a pin that comes off of the shifter assy and engages the switch, make sure it is engaged especially if the shifter is loose side to side. The switch may also be bad, misadjusted, or the shifter linkage may be missing one or two bushings (accessible on the driver side of the trans from under the car.

A new switch from the dealer runs about $60, I believe FCP Groton sells it for less.

Driver side connector to tail assy a little coroded, cleaned and tweaked. It was causing both reverse lamps not to work?
