      All of the latches are broken off this airbox.

        My experience has been that some filters are too thick in the seal area. Mahle now has filters in the US that appear comparable to Mann. A Deutz filter did not fit so well

        What I did was grind away the broken plastic, then formed some thin sheet metal around the old clip, drilled and pop riveted it to the HSG. A little silicone to seal even though its not needed since its the "dirty" side.

            These latches break off regularly. Unless you have access to a nearly new airbox from a junker (not likely: every one I've seen has at least one broken latch), just remove it and swap the latches for new ones, riveted in place and far more reliable than the old ones.
