17-inch wheels on my 1993 240? 200 1993

Thanks in advance to the people that know these things...

I am almost ready to buy a set of wheels and tires for my 1993 240 sedan,
I am buying them from Discount Tire Direct (www.discounttiredirect.com)

I am almost sure that these will fit my car, but I'm a little concerned about the offset. I think my Volvo has 30mm offset, but I think these wheels have 20mm offset. Is anyone an expert in wheel/tire fitment for the 240 series??

HERE'S THE INFO from the wheels/tires I'm looking at buying:

215/45ZR-17 91W BLK Nitto NT NeoGen ZR tires with

17X8 5-108 20SML Voxx MG wheels.

    An offset putting your wheels farther outboard could help .... 200 1993

    All 240s (i.e., their wheels) have been designed for a 20mm offset -- no exceptions (the 700/900 series used a 25mm offset).

    I use the 700/900's Hydra wheels (16x6.5x25mm) on my own 240, and the tires' (205/55-16) inboard sidewall, not to mention the wheels' inboard rim, come awfully close to the suspension pieces.

    Your tires and wheels are even wider! So a little change in offset (in the right direction, that is, outward) could help you a lot. Don't go overboard, however, as it could upset your steering geometry in a turn (i.e., cause tire scrubbing and loss of traction) -- the steering angles are designed so that the tires' centerlines follow a certain arc, and too much change in offset can upset these arcs.

    240's have 20mm offset.

        I'm not sure what happened with those Pegasus replicas, I have been watching those too. They went from an expected delivery of May 1 to June 1. Seems like the idea wheel upgrade for a 240, if they materialize.
