Hello All,

I got a radiator as a replacement but it is too small.
This is the secod time that has happened for this car.

When I tell the parts guy about it both times, they say "there isn't another model for that car." Last time, I finally found one at a Volvo repair shop that fits perfectly but it blew last weekend. PLASTIC! aargh.

The one in the car is about 24" wide and 18" high and fits perfectly

The ones I've been sold are about 18" wide by 17" high and too small to hold in place. (guess I could rig something up but.....)

Anywho, does anyone know where I can get the BIG radiator for a
1992
740 Wagon
8 Valve
Non-Turbo
Automatic Transmission

    Yep indeed, my 1992 740 B230F 8 valve non turbo takes a 1992 940 radiator.

    Only prollem is it costs three times as much as the other radiator. Well, my car is drivable again thanks to the help I've gotten here.

    The confusion in parts is because the radiator support was changed for 1992, affecting all RWD models. 1992 was also the last year of the 740 model, which had already been replaced by the 940 badge. In short, ALL 740s except 1992 use the 19" wide radiator. Owners of 1991 940s have just the opposite situation, being the lone year of the narrow radiator.

    Try ebay. I recently bought one for a 1995 NA 940. Search for auction # 230251505413. Just under $120 shipped to the door. Don't bother with used plastic radiators. They all crack when they get old, and there is no repairing them.
