Oxygen sensor replaced, now barely runs 700 1989

Hi all,
I've created a mysterious problem in the course of some recent work. Replaced O2 sensor with Walker direct-fit unit, replaced spark plugs with NGK BPR6ES, bled brakes (some spillage from EZE bleeder). Moved and replaced coil to get at wire tie holding O2 wires. Start car and it does not idle. Will run OK once warm. Switch out O2 sensor for old one as test, not much different. Put new 02 sensor back in. Now car is running worse, even after warming up.

I've checked FAQ. Any other ideas?
Did I somehow hit the Hall sensor and damage it?
any reason to think about the plugs? Bougicord wires are on proper plugs.
seems like it could be coolant temp sensor related, but I wasn't really working in that area.

One other odd bit of info: now A/C indicator on climate control panel is flashing while car is running. Related?

Any input appreciated.

JCP

Any problem getting the new plugs installed? Double check ignition wires to be sure they're connected properly and plugged in all the way. While the engine is running CAREFULLY disconnect each plug wire one at a time to see if you can find one that doesn't affect running. If so that's the bad wire or plug.
