for anyone interested in a very low mileage 240 1993 MANUAL wagon this appears to be a rare vehicle in rather decent shape at imo a very good price

Sounds like someone donated this car to the museum for the tax write off. My 240 had a similar history. I bought off ebay from a scumbag dealer who lied about everything connected with it. When I finally got a clear title, the car had been signed over to an Animal Rescue Shelter. The dealer I bought it from bought it at auction.

After about a year and an awful lot of TLC, I have an amazing 240. These stories can end well if you put $$ into the car. You have to think that the owner thought the car was so far gone that they literally GAVE it away for a few dollars tax break.

That likely means: 1. no exhaust system 2. rust (silver paint!) 3. a broken odometer. (com'on...no 240's are left with 103 K miles) and of course, 4. No AC

Still: 1. Cloth seats are a plus 2. Manual 5 speed (I get 30+ MPG with mine) 3. nice roof rack

At that price, it would be worth looking carefully at it.....

I bought a 91 wagon with 73,122 miles on the odo a year ago this week. A carfax confirmed the mileage.
