Manually moving electric drivers seat 900 1992

Any ideas on how to manually move the drivers seat forward after the electric motor stops working?

I just went through this a couple months ago and needed it moved forward enough to get a socket on the rear seat to chassis bolts. The faqs mentioned moving the cable sheaths around, which one depends on which one you need to activate, and seeing if that gets the seat to move. It worked for me!

I also found the faqs to be helpful in fixing the inoperative seat. I removed about 1/4" of the cable sheath on one end to make the cable extend farther into the drive rail and motor.

Dear redsox1211,

May this find you well. So far as I know, there's no way to move a powered seat, without using the motor.

See the FAQs, for help with diagnosing the problem.

Please post-back with your findings.

Yours faithfully,

Spook
