FREE REAR END 444-544

I have a good rear end from a 1960 544 1600 cc car that I don't need and will give it to any one who wants it. I live in the Tacoma Washington area if your interested contact me. Paul 253-566-1971

There should be a small aluminum tag under one of the cover bolts on the differential. It will have a number that tells us the gear ratio. Right now I have a 4.10:1 Spicer and I need one with a lower number, like 3.73 or lower so my automatic trans doesn't have to wind up so tight on the freeway.

I'm in southern California, so we could find a way to get it to me without too much trouble.

If you find that tag, let me know the numbers on it.

Steve

Well, I wish it were a 3:73 because it would be in my car. Regards Paul

I don't suppose you are the guy right off hwy 512 that has the two 544's parked next to the garage? I have looked at those for a number of years but never stopped. I have had 122 and 1800 up till this spring when I got in PV's. I don't need the rear end since I assume you just changed out your rear end for the later one with a different ratio....

Ugh. Just what I need. Too bad I'm on the other coast.

Still can't find someone reliable to repair mine.
