Testing flywheel sensor and power stage (Rex system). 700 1990

I have a no start on the 745GL. It has no spark, the tach does not move when cranking and the fuel pump is not run when cranking. This is I assume because of no pulses to the FI ECU.
ANy way to test a flywheel sensor with a VOM? Any way to test the coil/power stage assy.?
Also have a scope, but really don't want to haul it out to the driveway.

Testing flywheel sensor and power stage (Rex system).2nd update 700 1990

I found the flywheel sensor is bad, reads open ohms, a good one is about 1500 ohms.
BUT, the real problem is that the mounting on the bell housing has broken OFF! This looks like it happenned awhile ago, as one side has alu corrosion on it.
Any known gluing methods?

I checked the supply voltage to power stage- OK.
No discernable pulses going to power stage.
Inner wires from flywheel sensor have 3.4v on them. no change with cranking.
Checked this against my 89 16v (Bosch) and it is zero, and about 60mv when cranking.
Not sure where that 3.4v is coming from.

Testing flywheel sensor and power stage (Rex system).-update 3. 700 1990

Attempted to fasten an old sensor in with tie wraps. Old sensor has short, so although it works, it is intermittent. Have ordered a new one.
Tie wrap method may have problem, sensor tip may have contacted flywheel. What is the clearance there?
