Strange Power Window Problem 900

Car is '93 940. The back rear window goes down normally with switch on back door as well as master switch on driver's door. Window will not go up by pressing switch on either door.

However, I discovered the window will go up if I press the driver's door switch and the back door switch simultaneously. Yes, the window will go up ONLY IF BOTH SWITCHES ARE PRESSED AT THE SAME TIME.

I cleaned the contacts on the switches and it made no difference. It's as if the up function of the window motor only works if it's getting double the voltage (from both switches).

Any ideas?

Strange Power Window Problem 900

I think it is caused by a connection problem limiting current flow to the motor. Try applying a +12V wire to the motor terminal and see if this alone raises the window. If so, trace back, deoxidize connectors, and make sure crimps are not loose.
