Hi all:

Here -link- are the Owner's Manuals for the late 444 and early 544 sedans (US publications). Enjoy, I am not quite done with them yet but I thought that some here might want to have a look! Mostly they are searchable text with a few exceptions, which I will be working on. I hope to add more stuff later.
A BIG tip of the hat to Chris Horn [Agent_Strangelove] who owns these manuals and was kind enough to let me scan them, as well as helping a lot with my restorations and prototypes!

      The 61 models had some other details that changed, but the main thing, to me, was the change to the M40/30 transmissions from the M4/3 H6 type transmissions.
      This is the only year that I am aware of that the M40/30 was mated to the B16 engine. You have a transmission that is stronger and has better ratios (IMHO) if you have a 4 speed, if you have the 3 speed you have a synchro. first gear, which is pretty unusual! I think the 61 is the best of the B16 544s.

    I have a 59 445. You wouldn't happen to have that owners manual, would you? Anyone else?

      I think the owner's manual for the 59 and 60 cars are the same. I don't know this for sure, but it is certainly probable from what I have seen. The '61 manual is certainly different as the cars were equipped with other transmissions and there were a few more changes. Agent_strangelove on the board owns at least one of these manuals so you may want to contact him. He may well have more than one that he would be willing to part with.
