Dimmer switch needed 120-130 1968

I'm in need of the dimmer switch on the floor. Anyone have one or know of a source? '68 122s wagon

    Totally rebuildable.
Drill off the head of rivets holding it together.
    Clean contacts.
Wire brush around then peen the rivets holding the metal layers together. I found that the rivets were conducting well enough on my switch and that was what was causing the problem. Or if you want to get really fancy you can put some solder on there but you will need a pretty hot iron.

Put it back together. I still had enough rivet head intact to kinda hold it together, but the screws holding it to the floor will also clamp it together.

The car is wired to switch the hi/lo beams by pulling back on the turn signal. The Sweds used the "modern" approach but the NTSB required a floor dipper when the Amazon was new. So you have the wiring, it's just not hooked up.

All you need is a relay. The upgrade/oem restoration is well worth the small investment.

Incidentally, my 68's original headlight wiring to the switch was burned up in some sort of electrical short incident back in the 1980s. Too much current, I guess. The floor switch failed shortly after I put the car back into service. I made the upgrade/restoration and have never regretted it.

The IPD vintage parts catalog has the instructions in detail. Ron Kwas probably has a write up as well.

          Hello,

In original form, the headlight flasher option for the turn signal switch only flashed the headlights as a warning and did not actually change the headlights over to the high beams even with the headlight switched off.

But, as you know, you can wire in a headlight relay from a 140/240/260 so that the headlights can be switched over to high beams by means of the turn signal switch.
