odometer stopped after blower motor replacement. wiring? or gear? 200

hello,

last weekend, i successfully replaced the blower motor. it took me awhile for the full replacement - didn't use the chainsaw method, but i finally got it done.

it works great...the only problem is that now, after putting the instrument cluster back in, my odometer has stopped working.

i'm not sure if it is the gear - quite possible.

but, i'm leaning more towards having hooked the wires to the instrument cluster up wrong.

The pin connectors are easy, but i'm not sure if i hooked the other 3 wires up correct?

Anyone know for sure which wires go where (diagram? photo?) to the back of the instrument cluster?

I'd like to double check before I start looking for a replacement gear.

Thanks,

gb

Looking from the backside of the cluster:

If you have a tach - the Red/White wire plugs onto one of the two spades in the lower right. Otherwise don't use this wire.

If you have cruise control - the orange wire plugs onto the spade just above center and to the left of the speedometer.

You have to seat the small rectangular (3 wires to it if I remember) connector properly in its nested seat at the rear of the speedometer, or power doesn't transfer to the board - i.e., some things work and some don't - I mis-seated mine once and the dash lights didn't work.

I can't think of other wires that go to the board if there are any, besides the 2 large black plastic connectors.

Same thing happened to me a couple of months ago. In my case the speed sensor wire was not seated properly on the back of the cluster - despite the speedo working, the odometer didn't. I would unplug it and plug it back in.
