240 loss of power keeps going 200 1990

Driving home tonight my1990 240 keep acting like it was running out of gas.The car would start to loss power but than it would drive fine for a few miles than start acting bad again.At one point the engine shut off, pulled car to the side of the road turned the ignition off,started the car ran fine.Kept playing this game and made it home 20 miles.Any ideas? fuel pump,25amp fuse under hood,amm.Thanks for anyhelp

AMM is a possibility--I had a semi-similar experience that was the AMM, but the others are probably on the right track with fuel stuff...

How much gas did you have in your car when this happened? I had a 88 turbo and my 90 740 that did that when the pump was dying and had less than a 1/2 tank of gas... but hold ON!!!!!!
Get it tested when the car is running bad if possible. Dont throw parts at your car, or it will catch them all and the problem still wont get fixed.
