The Wagon, The List, Could not have done it with out you all!!! 200 1990

For my 5th Volvo I bought a 5 speed wagon for $575.00 with only 247000 miles solid body been repainted ran ok... Lots of stupid problem.. Radio didn't work cause someone removed the fuse crap like that...
So I drove it home and decided to rehab it and use it as my daily driver...
And let my 2006 Impala SS sit, a car I bought while I was still in sales and working...It's for sale by the way...LOL
So far I have replaced reworked all this
It started with a stumble which turned out to be the rotor cause the tip was missing...It was not a bosch....
Rear Shocks
Rear springs
Front Struts
Rear Control Arm bushings (POLY)
Cap And Rotor
Shifter bushings
New Tires
Tail Gate harness Left and Right
Replace instrument lights
Fuel Pump in tank
Sending unit
New belts
New battery
Hood
Hood Hinges
I just finished the suspension work today with the struts and control arm bushings(poly). I now know what it drove like new!!! well almost...WOW

I have a hitch to put on it, my plan is to buy an old small camper to tow with it and take a trip out west next summer...I want to see 500000 miles on it I know it will take a while but I think it can do it...

Thank you all for all the posts and details on fixing stuff lots of shortcuts

Next project is the 1982 242 I'm putting a 94 230ft in it from a 940 but thats for the other board...I want to see 300hp....

Thank you all!

I suggest just living out of the back of the wagon. I removed the back seat in mine and have done that for weeks. Maybe with a tent.

Pulling a trailer is hard on the motor/tranny and slows you down.

If you do the rear trailing arm bushings, stick with OEM rubber. I'm getting tired of the teeth rattling I get with the poly bushings. Only going over bumps though, everywhere else it's fine.

I did Poly on the torque rods. Those are fine with poly's. There is always talk about the poly's for the Trailing arms. Thanks for speaking up. I have always done the Stock Rubber but kept hedging toward the poly's. The rubbers last 150K miles so I'll stick with them, can't see me driving with a mouthguard.

Get the 25/22 ipd sway bars on there, and it'll handle much better than new. They're worth every penny.(but you probably already know that if 5th Volvo).
