Horn malfunction 1800 1970

Hi folks, I"m in need of your expertise. The horn on my 1970 E has stopped working. I can hear a clicking that comes from the driver's side and what I assume to be a horn relay.
My questions are: What would be the most systematic way in tracing this problem.Is there a horn relay?, If there is where is it located?, is there a way to check if it is working? thank you in advance to your responses.
Luis

    If it turns out to be the horns, it is possible that they can be repaired.

    I've had some success repairing them myself.

      Alschnertz, Thanks for the information, after Ron described the possible stages that could be the cause of the failure, I cleaned every contact between the horn relay and ended with the horn. This was enough to solve this problem, the horns are honking again.However just in case where did you send the horns to be repaired?

    Luis;

    The clicking you hear when pressing the horn button with IGN ON, is horn relay...and the fact that it clicks tells you its getting power, so the only thing it could be at this point is relay contact (unlikely but possible), wiring or connections (also unlikely but possible) or horns themselves (probable). Refer to Wiring diagram (Item 65): http://sw-em.com/1800E%20Wiring%20Diagram.jpg Horns themselves likely are non-functional due to lack of use.

    Good Hunting!
