Which blower motor will work in a 122? 120-130 1968

I'm wondering if there is a blower from another model, or even make, that will fit my 122.
Mine is not worth reconditioning... again.

Timing..

My brother bought a wagon this past summer. Blower motor was not original, and was weak. He identified it as a older Chevy truck unit, and bought a new one yesterday for $19. I guess the mount screw locations are different, but otherwise is a direct bolt up. I'll try to get a part number...

His new motor came from a '73 GMC pickup.. probably pretty standard GM product. I don't know if he's put it in yet...

Does it have the same terminals for two speeds? Any chance of a picture?

Ain't it amazing what a little scrounging will turn up (or was that turnip?)?

Hello,

The fan motor assemblies are directly interchangeable as a whole unit between the 1800 and 122.

The early 122/1800 use a sealed fan motor and a metal fan with 2 mounting plates. The later fan motor is open and the blades are plastic.

The fan motor and fan from a 544 can be used, but you have to have the early 122/1800 mounting hardware.
