power door locks 200 1987

I installed a mint condition power door locks on my 240 and has been working fine for quite sometime now until recently. I have 2 concerns regarding this:

1. When using the keyless remote (Clifford alarm system) to open the door locks, there is a second "tick" sound immediately after all the doors are unlocked. It is coming from the driver side rear door. When locking the doors using the remote, this does not happen.

2. While inside the car, engine on and with all the doors locked, when I pull the driver side door lock to unlock the doors, oftentimes, there is about 1 to 3 minutes (varies) delay before opening, while there are times everyting is normal.

What seems to be the problem with the power door locks?

    Pull the driver's door panel

Look for wires to the lock that are about to break or are shorting. There are 3 wires involved (red, grn, blk) that go to the switches.

The pull switch - If you are pulling up for the full 1 to 3 minutes, then the switch is probably okay. But on release the switch should spring to the neutral position and not be activating the locks. If it is activating the locks after release then it's defective.
