car still won't start 700 1991

I have a '91 turbo that i pulled into the garage, and now it won't start at all. I have checked the spark plugs (replaced), the distributor, the fuel pump and all her relays, changed the starter, ran the OBD....came up with a bad RPM sensor...and I am getting ready to change that next. It has spark, fuel, cranks....so I am praying this is it. I would appreciate any help though on something I may have missed. Something tells me it could still be a bad coil....any suggestions on how to test it though?

    yes 700 1991

When it cranks, does the tach needle bounce? That'll tell you if the rpm sensor is working if it's bosch - maybe the same with regina, I'm not sure.

As for testing the coil, I would say crank the car with the coil to distributor wire off and shorting to somewhere on the engine. IT MIGHT DO DAMAGE so double check this advice - I've never done it myself. I think it would be fine.
If the crank sensor is toast, then the coil shouldn't be putting out spark......
